Buffalo Bandits Adaptive Lacrosse
The Buffalo Bandits are proud to support adaptive lacrosse opportunities in Western New York in partnership with Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports.
Through wheelchair and stand-up adaptive lacrosse programs, athletes of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to experience the game, develop their skills and be part of the lacrosse community.
Wheelchair Lacrosse
The Buffalo Bandits Wheelchair Lacrosse team provides athletes with the opportunity to experience the speed, skill and competitiveness of lacrosse while representing Banditland.
The team practices regularly and competes in tournaments throughout the year, including tournaments against wheelchair lacrosse programs from across the country.
Players use lacrosse sticks to pass, catch and shoot while maneuvering their chairs on the playing surface. Both experienced athletes and those interested in trying wheelchair lacrosse for the first time are welcome. If you can hold a stick and maneuver your chair, you can play.
The team proudly wears the Buffalo Bandits name and colors while representing Western New York in competition.
Stand-Up Lacrosse
Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports' stand-up lacrosse program provides children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities an opportunity to learn and play the game of lacrosse in an inclusive environment.
The summer program features weekly practices led by members of the Buffalo Bandits Wheelchair Lacrosse team alongside local high school lacrosse coaches and athletes.
More than 25 athletes participate in the program, developing their lacrosse skills through drills, activities and game play throughout the summer.
The Bandits have also been proud to support the program on the floor, with Bandits players occasionally joining athletes at stand-up lacrosse sessions and helping make the experience memorable for everyone involved.
Our Partnership
The Buffalo Bandits are proud to partner with Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports to help make lacrosse more accessible and provide additional opportunities for athletes throughout Western New York.
Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports provides adaptive sports opportunities for youth and adults throughout the region. Through wheelchair and stand-up lacrosse, athletes have the opportunity to learn the game, develop their skills, compete and become part of the local lacrosse community.
