Bandits School Program

Bandits School Program

The Buffalo Bandits School Program brings players directly into schools across Western New York to introduce students to the game of lacrosse and share the history and meaning behind the Creator’s Game.

This program creates meaningful, hands-on experiences for students while connecting them with professional athletes who play the game at the highest level.

Schools can register for one of two program options:

Physical Education Program (Grades 2–12)

Buffalo Bandits players visit your school to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a physical education setting. Students are introduced to basic skills, teamwork, and game play in an active, engaging environment. Lacrosse sticks are provided if your school does not have equipment.

Reading Program (Grades K–1)

Designed for younger students not participating in the PE program, Bandits players visit classrooms to read a book about the history of the Creator’s Game. This is a small, classroom-based experience focused on personal interaction and learning in a more intimate setting.

Important Notes

Due to the popularity of the program and limited player availability, not all schools that register can be accommodated. Priority is given to schools not visited in the previous year, with a waitlist created as needed.

When selecting dates, schools should consider testing schedules, holidays, and other potential conflicts. Once a visit is confirmed, rescheduling may not be possible if dates become unavailable.

For the Physical Education Program, registration should be completed by PE teachers coordinating directly with the program scheduler. For the Reading Program, school administrators or grade-level representatives may apply. Parents, PTA members, and outside individuals should not submit applications on behalf of a school.

If selected, the Bandits will contact schools directly using the email provided during registration. While every effort is made to accommodate requested dates, flexibility may be required based on availability.
